Rule Details

According to our naming conventions, to easily distinguish entity names from element names we recommend starting entity names with capital letters, which this rule ensures.

Examples

✅   Correct example

In the following example, the rule is satisfied because the entity name Books starts with a capital letter:

db/schema.cds

namespace sap.capire.bookshop;

entity Books {
  key ID : Integer;
  @mandatory title  : localized String(111);
}

❌   Incorrect example

This example shows the rule reporting a warning because the entity name books starts with a lowercase letter:

db/schema.cds

namespace sap.capire.bookshop;
